Goodbye Top-Left Click

Well, with Google Chrome‘s recent material redesign (Build 69), one of the most odd mouse shortcuts that I have used since ~1995 has gone away… that is/was the ability to close a window by double-clicking on the top-left corner of the window. And since a large majority of my time on the computer is spent in Google Chrome, it’s a noticeable change.   I just updated to Chrome 69, and a dozen times now I’ve tried clicking on that corner to close windows, but now it only resizes …

Meetup Etiquette

I’ve been going to Meetup groups for many years. Primarily business, entrepreneur, and software related groups. I always meet nice people, and sometimes I even come away having learned something. And even more rarely, I leave with a good connection with someone. Samsung "support" chat

More, stereotypical bad customer service. This time, from Samsung "Support". They, like most "support" companies that are hired to do technical support, do NOT read. Or, they try to frustrate you will endless tasks that don’t work… until finally, they send you off to someone else. In this case, they still didn’t fix the problem. I live in Orange County, CA – that’s over 100 miles away from me. And it was Sunday. So my tire repair shop options were limited. One of the only places open was “Frankie Tires”. I ended up buying four new tires. Once I got …

GoDaddy sucks again…

I don’t know why I expect different results when I have to deal with GoDaddy.com – even though they’ve proven time and time and time again that they do NOT care about customer service. And today was just another example of poor customer service, and an overall failure of the people answering the phones AND a supervisor. Here’s what happened: I got a domain renewal email, sent to an address I haven’t used for *YEARS*, about a domain that I haven’t used, touched, worked on for years. I …
