Samsung "support" chat

More, stereotypical bad customer service. This time, from Samsung "Support". They, like most "support" companies that are hired to do technical support, do NOT read. Or, they try to frustrate you will endless tasks that don’t work… until finally, they send you off to someone else. In this case, they still didn’t fix the problem. And I am *100% positive* that calling their phone support will yield the same result – endless tasks that result in their "solutions" not working. When a computer geek like me can’t figure …

Quora: “What was it like to work with Walt Disney?”

During the 50th anniversary celebrations, I attended a cast-member only panel which featured several original Imagineers telling stories and answering questions. This question – “What was it like to work with Walt Disney?” – was asked and answered. My favorite answer was this (I’m sorry that I don’t recall which imagineer gave the response): ‘We learned that you never told Walt “no”, you always said “yes, if”. When Pirates of the Caribbean was first built, it was a walk-thru attraction. Much of the concrete walkways had been poured. …

Quora: “Why is Disneyland so expensive?”

Disney is a business… a brilliant business that knows how to research and study the analytics of their products and services. Like any product or service in any market, prices are set primarily by consumers. If some new widget was available at the local store was priced at $1,000 but no one bought it, the price would come down, or the product would go away. In the case of Disney Parks, the price has continued to go up by leaps and bounds, and is expected to continue that …

Review: Becker Tire in Orange, CA

Becker Tire 1100 N Tustin St, Orange, CA 92867 – (714) 633-1780 – www.BeckerTire.net Last month I took a trip to the Barstow area with a group of people, and we drove down a dirt, where I ended up getting a flat tire. I live in Orange County, CA – that’s over 100 miles away from me. And it was Sunday. So my tire repair shop options were limited. One of the only places open was “Frankie Tires”. I ended up buying four new tires. Once I got …

GoDaddy sucks again…

I don’t know why I expect different results when I have to deal with GoDaddy.com – even though they’ve proven time and time and time again that they do NOT care about customer service. And today was just another example of poor customer service, and an overall failure of the people answering the phones AND a supervisor. Here’s what happened: I got a domain renewal email, sent to an address I haven’t used for *YEARS*, about a domain that I haven’t used, touched, worked on for years. I …

Click each of the links below to look at different satellite views of the Los Angeles area: https://www.google.com/maps/@33.9303766,-118.3701895,2379m/data=!3m1!1e3 https://www.google.com/maps/@34.0316144,-118.2216863,995m/data=!3m1!1e3 https://www.google.com/maps/@33.7829021,-117.8795468,1447m/data=!3m1!1e3 https://www.google.com/maps/@33.6732444,-117.8861655,491m/data=!3m1!1e3   What’s missing? Cars on the freeways! I can’t believe if missed this before! I looked all over the freeways around LA, and except for a few anomalies, it looks like Google has removed vehicles from the roads! Considering that they have a bazillion photos (not a real number, it’s just obvious …
