Interesting question, but no. Tesla has built over 100,000 vehicles so far, with many more coming. DeLorean Motor Company only built 9,080 DMC-12s. Also, John DeLorean didn’t have the amount of money that Musk had/has.   Original Quora question – Is it possible that Tesla will eventually be regarded as the DeLorean of this period of automotive history?
